How am I spending my time? Am I maintaining the status quo – or am I innovating and pushing forward?

It takes work and intentional effort to maintain the success we already have and keep our processes and procedures working well. No one wants to fall back to where we were when we were going after every opportunity and trying to figure out how to achieve ongoing success. We have spent a lot of time replicating the processes that helped get us here and our success is now more predictable. And actually having a “status quo” that is a little more predictable and doesn’t require numerous all-night efforts is nice for a change. But I know that the status quo is already holding us back. If I don’t push for creativity and innovation, we’ll rapidly fall behind and our results will begin to flatten out. As the leader, I need to push us forward and not lose the momentum we had developed.
